Leading digital comics provider comiXology has upgraded their iOS app with a new high definition version. Called CMX-HD, the app is made to work for the better retina display of the new iPad 3. Additionally, the app has added social features such as sharing via Facebook or Twitter and even by email. It will be free for users to upgrade their already downloaded comics to the new format. For everyone else, issues in the new format will cost the same amount as previous content.
